Who We Are:

Since it's founding 14 years ago as the Afghan Child Project, ACP Worldwide has been an all-volunteer, U.S.-based charitable organization operating projects to benefit poor women and children in poverty-stricken, or war-torn, nations. ACPW's volunteers pay 100% of the expenses, so 100% of donations go directly to the projects and the people we serve.

What We Do:

ACPW initially operated English classes, distributed medical supplies, founded libraries and planted trees throughout Afghanistan. We still operate literacy and English classes for Afghan women and children. These classes must now be operated largely underground by our brave, in-country affiliates.
In Uganda, ACPW helps operate an orphanage near Kampala. We build buildings and provide food and running water. Children are matched with US donors who pay their way through boarding schools. We also provide for emergency medical services and disaster relief.
When Russia invaded Ukraine in February, 2022, ACPW personnel immediately went to help. ACPW operates a van that distributes humanitarian aid and helps transport refugees. We also provide emergency food for people and animals.

Why We Do it:

ACPW operates in countries where women and children are marginalized and mistreated, or where war and poverty have left them with with nothing. We work to provide hope and represent grass-roots caring and generosity of individual donors in the United States and other western nations to an ever more dangerous and polarized world.
